I just joined this tribe too, and all I have to say is dance on! You can do whatever you want and love it and nobody has to approve!
If you want to dance by yourself all night in the middle of dowtown SF, do it, why not?

I have solo club danced for decades, even dancing with bands to get everyone else up & dancing before they are too drunk. My experiences have been that their is a majority of insecure people that if they can't do it will make fun of the people that are, get drunk & become pushy or sexxually abusive, become hostile bcz I am not pleasing their ego etc etc. But the pposite has been true which is what this tribe is about. I have had many many women & some men tell me that it looked like I was having so much fun that it gave them the courage to just get up & dance. Some of those people have gone on to find a form they could immerse in & joined troupes for performance.

It can be difficult to ignore the detractors but that is what dance trance is all about. As long as you are respectful of their space (sometimes hard for me when they come slithering & crushing around or the drunk ____ starts in with the mimicry or grinding) enjoy yourself. There Is someone(s) watching with delight & being infused with the joy & may start their own solo.
